Missed Adventures was established by myself, Phil Hough and is operated from Derbyshire, home to the Derwent valley and the Peak District. Missed Adventures is a professional motorcycle touring company which specialises in providing UK and European motorcycle tours in some of the most stunning regions available for motorcycling holidays.
I like to provide customers with a relaxed and enjoyable approach to a touring holiday and customer feedback on the website is testimony to the effort made around making everyone’s holiday a success.
I usually tour with either my 800 Triumph or a 1200 when carrying a pillion, but the choice of bike is unimportant, any bike of approximately 600cc + with the facility for carrying luggage and pillion where required is capable of touring.
The tours are all provisionally guided tours however, many experienced riders do attend and are free to utilise their own routes to each day’s locations if they wish to do so. If you are new to touring, especially within Europe and wish to ride with me throughout as a guide, then I do not have any problem with this and welcome the opportunity to share my experience with you.
Along with an excellent geographical knowledge of the areas that are used for touring in Europe (particularly Spain) – I also hold adanced skill levels of Rospa GOLD, IAM, DIA – former DSA instructor and First Aid medical knowledge as a qualified First Aid instructor. I provide First Aid training, i am a fully qualified FPOSI and have First Bike on scene / Biker down course attendance and knowledge. I am highly competent with the Spanish language and have the ability to converse in German and with basic French skills, which I truly believe will add to the experience of your tour.
Missed Adventures uses quality hotel accommodation throughout for all our tours and again, testimony of the tour experience is provided by previous Missed Adventures customers.
Missed Adventures tours are conducted at a pace to suit everyone, it will not be a race but at the same time we will not be travelling dangerously below any safe or recognised speed limit. Missed Adventures prefer to make things comfortable for the riders and any pillions that join us. This will allow you to experience more of each region that we travel through and hopefully enjoy it more – it is after all a touring holiday.
